Kolmar-France GATTEFOSSE develops anti-aging cosmetics

Signed a business agreement for the development of new raw materials… Agreement on the exclusive supply of natural emulsifiers

Kolmar Korea raises the level of anti-aging cosmetics development by joining hands with GATTEFOSSE, a French raw material company with 144 years of tradition.

Kolmar Korea announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with GATTEFOSSE at the Kolmar Korea Institute of Technology (located in Seocho-gu, Seoul) to jointly develop new cosmetic ingredients.

The signing ceremony was attended by Moon Byeong-seok, director of Kolmar Korea Research Center, and Jerome Delanoy, group head of GATTEFOSSE.

Through this agreement, the two companies agreed to develop natural emulsifiers and anti-aging cosmetics. GATTEFOSSE develops a vegetable natural emulsifier applied with its own technology and exclusively supplies it to Kolmar Korea. Kolmar Korea plans to use this raw material to develop anti-aging cosmetics that contain high content of active ingredients and secure stability.

GATTEFOSSE specializes in the development of special raw materials used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, including natural emulsifiers. Since its establishment in Lyon, France in 1880, it has owned and operated research institutes in the United States, India, and China.

Kolmar Korea said, “Through this agreement, we will be able to accelerate the development of high-content anti-aging cosmetics tailored to consumer needs,” and emphasized, “We will continue to develop products that can lead the global cosmetics market trend.”
