Lee Seon-sim was elected as the 25th president of the Korea Beauty Society. With 375 votes, he succeeded in being reappointed as chairman following the 24th generation. The difference between candidate Kim Jin-suk and second place candidate Kim Jin-sook was 165 votes, taking the overwhelming first place. Candidate Jin-sook Kim got 210 votes, Candidate Mi-rim Han got 91 votes, and Candidate Jeong-jo Park got 2 votes.

 

The Korea Beauty Society Federation held an election for the 25th president in 2023 at 11:00 am on the 20th (Tuesday) at the Grand Ballroom of the Convention Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. 680 delegates participated in this election. The number of votes was 679, with one abstaining. The total number of valid votes was tallied at 678 votes. 

 

As auditors, Lee Gwang-jong (325 votes), Kwon Gyeong-hee (315 votes), and Shin Tae-ja (266 votes) were elected, and the term of office is two years.

Chairman Lee Seon-sim kept his position as president amid unprecedented negatives and flaws in the history of the beauty society president election. As he was predicted to be the candidate with the highest chance of winning in this election, he suffered continuous black slander from the opposing camp.

 

He countered the baseless offensive of his opponents with persuasive promises. It is an analysis that the votes of beauticians gathered in the realistic beauty society development strategy presented by beauty experts. In the face of endemic, beauticians in desperate need of a new growth engine supported him.

Prior to this election, at 1:00 p.m., each candidate gave a 10-minute presentation on the political views from symbols 1 to 4.

 

Candidate Seon-Shim Lee, the No. 1 symbol, said, “Starting my term with Corona 19, I put all my effort into preventing evil beauty laws. He thwarted public health management laws and sanitation education amendments, including poison provisions. He chased the National Assembly and government agencies and protested in front of you and Yeouido,” he said.

 

“I will establish a beauty culture center that will serve as a second beauty center and repay the central association’s debt. Based on the Daejeon City budget of 200 million won already secured, the IKBF event will be raised to an international scale. It is a strategy to enact the Beauty Industry Promotion Act. We plan to increase the financial soundness of the central association and increase branch support.”

Candidate Mi-rim Han, the fourth symbol, emphasized the development of the beauty industry and beauticians. He presented a vision for young beauticians to join the association, and announced that he would carry it out. The plan is to invite famous instructors to hold technical training and provide opportunities for all members to develop into National Assembly representatives.
