European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) elected Philippe Van Hoof as new president

On June 1, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) appointed a new chairman, Philippe Van Hoof (Korea Representative of ING Bank). The new chairman, Philippe Van Hoof, will assume the presidency until board elections in early 2025.

 

ECCK's board of directors announced that it had elected a new chairman following the resignation of former chairman Dirk Lukat due to overseas service.

 

Chairman Philip Van Hoof has risen to the 2021 representative of ING Bank Korea. He has been in the banking industry for 29 years. He worked for 15 years in Asia including Korea, Japan and Singapore. He had a variety of strategies in insurance companies ‧ asset managers ‧ brokerages ‧ sovereign wealth funds.

 

Philippe Van Hoof, a native of Belgium, became a member of ECCK in 2021. In 2022 he was elected Chairman of the ECCK Sustainability Committee.

 

The ECCK board of directors is composed of nine members. Global business experts in each industry carry out activities representing the interests of European companies in Korea.
